RAPID CITY – Former Stanley County girls basketball head coach Adam Dannenbring has been recommended to be the new girls basketball head coach at Stevens High School.
In a press release, Stevens activities director Jared Vasquez said, “Adam has a wealth of basketball coaching experience, including head coaching experience. He has also served as the assistant boys’ basketball coach at Stevens, and he brings calm, but huge passion for coaching and teaching to the position.”
Dannenbring was a boys basketball assistant for the Raiders last season after being Stanley County’s head coach for three seasons. Dannenbring has also been head coach at Canton. He replaces Michael Brooks, who resigned earlier this month. Last season, Stevens was 19-1, defeating Pierre in the SoDak 16 and falling in the AA championship game.
Stevens will open the season against the Governors in Pierre on December 10.
