Sully Buttes alum Chloe Lamb and Hannah Sjerven of South Dakota and Summit League preseason Player of the Year Myah Selland of South Dakota State have been named to the 2022 Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Watch List.
Lamb led the Summit League in three-point shooting last season, making 61 and hitting 43.3 percent. She is sixth in program history in made threes and 10th in points. Lamb was the league tournament MVP last season, all-Summit League for the third straight season and earned academic all-league honors.
Sjerven scored 17.1 points a game last season with 9.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game. She led the Summit League in rebounds, blocks and double-doubles. Sjerven has twice been named as the conference’s defensive player of the year, three times on the league’s all-tournament team, including being the MVP in 2020, and has been a first-team all-Summit League selection twice.
Selland led the Summit League last season at 19.2 points per game. She was third in the league in assists and field goal percentage and scored at least 20 points in six games.
