KANSAS CITY, MO – South Dakota State women’s basketball held on for an 85-78 win over Kansas City in the Summit League opener Monday at the Swinney Center.
Paige Meyer scored 22, including eight in the fourth quarter, to lead the Jackrabbits. Myah Selland scored 19 with six rebounds. Kallie Theisen scored 14 points. SDSU (5-7, 1-0) shot 53 percent from the floor.
The Jackrabbits will face Oral Roberts Wednesday in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
