SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State was pressed early by Oral Roberts, but then pulled away Monday for a 72-53 semifinal win in the Summit League Women’s Basketball Tournament at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
There were four lead changes in the first quarter, after which the Jackrabbits led 18-14. Then, SDSU (23-8) led 32-20 at halftime and cruised to a 15th straight victory.
Paiton Burckhard and Myah Selland led the Jacks with 16 points each. Haleigh Timmer scored 12 points and Tori Nelson had 11. Selland had eight rebounds and Nelson brought down seven.
Tizrah Moore scored 17 for Oral Roberts (16-15).
SDSU will play in its 11th Summit League Tournament championship game on Tuesday afternoon against South Dakota.
