EAGAN, MN – Six-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jared Allen has been named to the Minnesota Vikings’ Ring of Honor.
Allen spent six of his 12 NFL seasons with the Vikings after being acquired in a big trade with Kansas City prior to the 2008 season. In those six seasons, Allen had 85 sacks, including a franchise-record 22 in 2011. He was named to the Pro Bowl in five of those seasons and was named as a first-team All-Pro three times as a Viking and four times overall.
Allen will be inducted at halftime of the Vikings’ October 30 home game with Arizona.
