The winter storm that’s been pummeling much of South Dakota all week long has dropped varying amounts of snow around the state.
National Weather Service Meteorologist Ryan Lueck says as of this morning (Dec. 16, 2022) areas in the Black Hills have recorded the largest snowfall totals so far this week.
Lueck says some areas– including Pierre and Fort Pierre– received a foot or more of snow.
Lueck says parts of east-central and southeast South Dakota received far less snow, but some had ice to deal with.
A blizzard warning is in effect in the central part of South Dakota until 3pm today.
