Tomorrow (Jan. 7, 2023) will be a busy day at the South Dakota Capitol Building in Pierre as legislators, Constitutional Officers and Governor Kristi Noem all take their oath of office.
Bureau of Administration Special Projects Coordinator Leah Haugan says activities during the day are free and open to the public.
Haugan says the Capitol Ball and the Inaugural Ball each require separate, $25 tickets that can be purchased online at pierretickets.com.
Haugan says parking is limited, so River Cities Public Transit is offering a free shuttle service taking people back and forth between the Capitol Ball at the Capitol Building and the Inaugural Ball at the Ramkota.
Noem, South Dakota’s first female Governor, will be sworn in for her second term.
