The Chamberlain School District has called off school seven days so far this school year due to snow.
Superintendent Justin Zajic says the district has developed a plan to stay ahead of additional snow days.
He says the district will notify teachers, students and families of a potential virtual snow day by 2pm the day prior to the snow event. Once decided, staff will distribute material, technology and literature to students before they leave for the day. All of the resources are centrally located for parents and students on the Chamberlain School District website.
Zajic says this is a trial run for virtual snow days.
