The Stanley County Commission has elected Craig Heller to serve as their chair for the coming year and Dana Iversen to be the vice chair.
Also during their meeting this week (Jan. 2, 2024), commissioners approved a 2% wage increase for Stanley County employees, but did not raise their pay. They will remain at their current rate of roughly $850 per month ($855.99 per month or $10,271.88 annually), the same as it’s been since 2018.
The Commission also approved a joint contract with Hughes County for Troy Blevins to serve as the Emergency Manager for both counties. Based on population, Stanley County will cover the cost of approximately 14% (14.36% for $15,610) of Blevins total salary while Hughes County pays roughly 86% (85.64%).
