Pierre Police Department employees honored for saving lives

Six members of the Pierre Police Department have been recognized for lifesaving actions they took while on duty.

These gentlemen all earned Lifesaving Awards:

• Sgt. Kyle Cummings,

• Sgt. Jacob Harlow,

• Officer Lee Coppersmith,

• Officer Nathan Howell,

• Officer Evan Olson and

• Officer Gavin Hoeper Saxton.

Because of privacy concerns for the citizens involved, details of each officer’s actions were not released.
