MARCH 4, 2024:
A 60 year old man from Eagle Butte has been identified as the pedestrian who suffered fatal injuries in a vehicle vs pedestrian collision Friday morning (March 1, 2024, 9:46am) in the 600 block of Euclid Avenue in Pierre.
Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol says 57 year old Keven K. Klein of Pierre was driving when he suffered a seizure and blacked out. Klein’s 2010 Dodge Caravan left the road, striking Rocky L. Bowker, before crashing into fencing at an apartment building. Bowker died as a result of his injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

A 60 year old male pedestrian suffered fatal injuries this morning (March 1, 2024, 9:46am) in a vehicle vs pedestrian collision in the 600 block of Euclid Avenue in Pierre.
The names of the persons involved have not been released pending notification of family members.
Preliminary crash information indicates a 57-year-old male driver of a 2010 Dodge Caravan suffered a seizure and blacked out while driving. The vehicle left the road, striking a pedestrian before crashing into an apartment building. The pedestrian died as a result of their injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
