MOBRIDGE (KOLY)- Positive Influenza cases continue rise in the United States with South Dakota seeing 1360 new positive cases, 85 new hospitalizations and no new deaths according to the South Dakota Department of Health Influenza Dashboard. The South Dakota total is now 3,934 with 241 total hospitalizations and 2 deaths. Minnehaha County has the most cases in the state with a total of 1431 positive cases reported. That is just .0068% of the counties population.
There were 13 new cases of H3N32 (subtype K) in the report released (today) January 7th, 49 new cases in the January 3rd report and 40 in the December 27th report. The largest rapid antigen test positive cases are Type A, Unspecified.
