Cronin not running for reelection to Pierre School Board

Pierre School Board member Dan Cronin will not be seeking reelection this year.

Cronin made his official announcement during this week’s (Jan. 12, 2026) board meeting.

Cronin is finishing his third, three-year term as a member of the Pierre School Board. The other board members are Joan Adam, Jessica Lewis, Dennis James and Randy Hartmann.

If needed, the joint Pierre City, Pierre School Board and Hughes County election will be held June 2, 2026.
