Staff from the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks will host a public meeting about the Lake Oahe and Lake Sharpe fisheries Wednesday (Jan. 14, 2026) in Fort Pierre.
Fisheries staff will give a short presentation on the history and current trends and also share upcoming management plans. The public will be given the opportunity to ask questions.
The meeting will begin at 7p.m. CT and is being held at the AmericInn in Fort Pierre.
People unable to attend the meeting, but who would like to submit a question to be answered within the meeting, can email the question to Mark.Fincel@state.sd.us. Questions may not be responded to individually, but would be addressed within the meeting recording that will be posted to the GFP YouTube Channel.
