The Stanley County School Board is holding a special meeting at 4pm CT today (Jan. 14, 2026) at the middle school/high school gym in Fort Pierre.
The Board will go into executive session to do interviews and negotiate the contract for the school district’s next superintendent.
Board President Chris Fosheim told DRG Media Group that they plan to make an offer following the interviews today and approve a final contract for the individual selected during next week’s (Jan. 21) board meeting.
Current Superintendent Dan Baldwin’s resignation was accepted at the board’s Dec. 10, 2025, meeting. Baldwin will retire from the Stanley County School District June 30, 2026.
