The Stanley County School District has launched the first phase of a fundraising campaign to make improvements district-wide.
First National Bank kicked off the Buffalo Legacy Campaign with a $275,000 matching challenge.
First National Bank President and CEO Craig Davis said as a community bank, they’re pleased to be part of the fundraising effort.
School Board President Chris Fosheim is excited to get started on phase one’s $2.5 million, community-wide effort to invest in the future of Stanley County schools.
Fosheim said the school board has a list of building updates and repairs that need to be done and the money raised through the Buffalo Legacy Campaign is how they hope to pay for them.
Fosheim said they don’t have a target date to have the $2.5 million raised by, but sooner is better because the cost of things isn’t going down.
Stanley County School District alumni should be receiving a brochure with information about the campaign and how they can contribute. Those who don’t get a brochure or others who would like more information can reach out to Fosheim by:
