Pierre Swim Team wraps up summer season at State A Championship

Pierre Swim Team finished up their summer season with the State A Championship meet in Rapid City the weekend of July 24-26th. They had 26 swimmers competing for top spots, while having some top finishes along with personal bests.

The winter season will restart later this fall in September. Please keep an eye out for more information to be shared. Results and photos are listed below:

2026 SD Long Course State Championship

In the Girls 7-8 Division, Pierre had 3 swimmers:
– Arianna Bell: 100 free-11 th , 50 breaststroke-11 th & 50 back-15th
– Davidia Frederick: 100 fly-1 st , 100 breaststroke-1 st , 200 IM-1 st , 50 breaststroke-
2 nd , 50 fly-2 nd , 200 free-5 th & 100 free-7 th . All State Qualifying times & 2 nd Place
High Point
– Aria Reimers: 50 free-10 th , 100 free-10 th , 100 back-11 th & 50 back-13 th (SDQ)
In the Girls 9-10 Division, we had 3 swimmers:
– Charlotte Haynes: 50 breaststroke-2 nd , 100 breaststroke-2 nd , 50 free-3 rd , 100
free-4 th , 400 free-4 th & 200 IM-5 th . All State Qualifying times
– Sophie Lukkes: 200 free-2 nd , 200 IM-4 th , 50 breaststroke-5 th , 100 breaststroke-5 th
& 100 free-6th
– Kodi Spaid: 50 back-2 nd (SDQ), 100 back-3 rd , 200 free-4 th , 50 free-6 th , 200 IM-8 th ,
100 free-10 th & 50 breaststroke-12th
In the Girls 11-12 Division, we had 1 swimmer:
– Betty Lukkes: 800 free-2 nd , 200 free-4 th , 400 free-4 th & 50 back-5 th . All State

In the Girls 13-14 Division, we had 1 swimmer:
– Lydia Kroon: 200 back-13 th , 800 free-14 th , 400 free-18 th (SDQ), 200 free-20 th
(SDQ), 50 free-24 th & 100 free-24 th (SDQ)
In the Girls 15-16 Division, we had 1 swimmer:
– Ann Tjeerdsma: 400 free-13 th , 100 free-14 th , 50 free-15 th (SDQ) & 200 free-16 th .
In the Girls 17-19 Division, we had 2 swimmers:
– Charlie Hull: 50 back-1 st (SDQ), 200 back-2 nd (SDQ), 50 fly-3 rd , 50 free-3 rd
(SDQ), 100 free-4 th (SDQ), 200 free-4 th (SDQ) & 100 back-4 th (SDQ). 3 rd Place

In the Boys 7-8 Division, Pierre had 2 swimmers:

In the Boys 9-10 Division, we had 5 swimmers:
