The South Dakota FFA Foundation has appointed Marty Michalek to its Board of Directors, effective July 26, 2026.
Michalek lives outside of Chamberlain with his wife Mandy and their four children – Garrett, Colton, Ryder and Tayzlee. Michalek has worked as an Ag Banker with First Dakota National Bank for the past 18 years, and holds a BS degree from South Dakota State University in Ag Business and Ag Economics. He is heavily involved in the Brule County 4-H Leaders Association, the Best of the West County Showdown, and the Western Junior Livestock Show Board of Directors.
In his spare time, he enjoys helping with his family’s commercial pheasant hunting operation, chuckwagon cooking, and assisting his wife and kids’ show goat operation, Riverview Ranch.
