The new superintendent for the Pierre Public School District has spent the first six weeks on the job meeting a lot of people and learning a lot of new things.
Dr. Donavan DeBoer began his duties July 1, 2026, and said he’s been having positive interactions with school staff and community members.
Aug. 19 is the first day of classes for Pierre Public School students.
