BROOKINGS – Myah Selland scored 18 points Monday as South Dakota State Women’s Basketball held on for a 63-62 win over Mississippi State at Frost Arena.
SDSU led by as many as 11 points in the third quarter before MSU came back to tie the game twice. The Jacks then led by eight points with 4:49 remaining before the Bulldogs cut the lead to the final margin.
Selland added 10 rebounds, two blocks, two assists and two steals for SDSU (2-1). Haleigh Timmer scored 11 points.
The Jackrabbits will begin play Saturday in the Battle 4 Atlantis in the Bahamas against UCLA.
