STARKVILLE, MS – From the start, South Dakota Men’s Basketball was overwhelmed Thursday in a 79-42 loss to Mississippi State at Humphrey Coliseum.
The Coyotes (2-2) shot only 30 percent from the floor and hit only five of 25 three-pointers. Paul Bruns was USD’s only double-figure scorer with 11 points.
Tolu Smith had 16 points for Mississippi State and Cameron Matthews had 14.
South Dakota will play the first of two games at the Fort Myers Classic Tuesday in Florida against Long Island University.
