SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota high school volleyball’s greatest dynasty continues.
Sioux Falls Christian captured its sixth straight championship and 11th in 13 years Saturday by defeating Elkton-Lake Benton, 25-14, 25-20, 23-25, 25-13 in the title match of the SDHSAA Class A State Volleyball Tournament at the Denny Sanford PREMIER Center.
Ellie Lems racked up 31 kills, an ace, a solo block and two block assists for the Chargers (33-5). Sydney Oostra had 14 kills and Taylor Byl notched 12.
Rachel Krog and Andrea Renkly each had 10 kills for Elkton-Lake Benton (32-4).
Dakota Valley (2013, 2016) is the only school other than Sioux Falls Christian to win Class A titles since 2010.

Sophie Tuttle paced Dakota Valley (28-8) with 21 kills. Jorja Van Den Hul had 15.
Karly Van Der Wurff led Platte-Geddes (28-9) with 21 kills to total 63 for the tournament, second-most to Ella Haven of Class B Northwestern, who had 84.

Emma Yost had 20 kills for Wagner (32-5), who entered the tournament as the top seed but lost in the first round.
