PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS – UCLA held off South Dakota State Women’s Basketball 72-65 Saturday in the opening day of the Battle 4 Atlantis.
UCLA (4-0), who lost to SDSU in Brookings last season in the semifinal of the WNIT, led by as many as 15 and was led by 28 points by Charisma Osborne.
Haleigh Timmer led the Jackrabbits (2-2) with 12 points. Tori Nelson and Paiton Burckhard each tallied 11, with Burckhard adding six rebounds.
SDSU came as close as five points in the last two minutes of the game.
The Jacks will play Rutgers Sunday in the consolation bracket.
