BROOKINGS – South Dakota State Women’s Basketball scored the game’s first 19 points and led 31-4 after one quarter to start an 86-54 rout of Kansas City Wednesday in Summit League play.
Myah Selland scored 20 points with nine rebounds in just 20 minutes. Paiton Burckhard scored 15 points for the Jackrabbits (9-5, 2-0), Haleigh Timmer scored 12 and Madysen Vlastuin added 10 off the bench.
SDSU led by as much as 46 points in the second half.

South Dakota State’s scheduled men’s game at Kansas City Wednesday was postponed due to the winter storm. It will be rescheduled on a date to be determined.
