RAPID CITY – Game two of 2023-24 saw positive strides taken by Pierre Governor Boys Basketball.
Pierre had balanced scoring and a strong rebounding game Saturday for their first win of the new season, 53-43 over the Central Cobblers at Naasz Gym.
Jett Zabel had 16 points and 10 rebounds for Pierre (1-1). Dawson Getz also had 16 points while hitting five three-pointers. Luke Olson scored 10 points. Freshman Cooper Terwilliger scored eight points with 10 rebounds.
Isaiah Whiting scored 25 points for Central (0-2).
Pierre outrebounded Central 41-17, with 23 of the Governors’ rebounds on the offensive end.
