APRIL 29, 2024:
A 33-year-old man from Vivian has been identified as the person who died from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon (April 25, 2024, 2:55pm) in Presho.
Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol indicates 31 year old Jan Bothma from Presho was driving a Case IH Patriot agricultural sprayer northbound on 305th Avenue. At the same time, 33 year old Chance Veurink from Vivian was driving a 2021 Ford Ranger westbound on SD Highway 248. Bothma failed to stop at the intersection and the sprayer collided with the pick-up truck. Veurink died at the scene. Bothma did not sustain injuries.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.

APRIL 26, 2024:
One man died in a two-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon (April 25, 2024) in Presho.
Preliminary crash information from the South Dakota Highway Patrol indicates the driver of a Case IH Patriot agricultural sprayer was traveling northbound on 305th Avenue. At the same time, the driver of a 2021 Ford Ranger pickup was headed westbound on SD Highway 248. The sprayer failed to stop at the intersection and collided with the pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup died at the scene. The driver of the sprayer was not injured.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
