The South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs, in partnership with Hughes County Veterans Service Officer Mike Mullen, is hosting a “Coffee and Conversation” event Monday (May 5, 2025) at 1pm CT at the American Legion Post 8 (520 South Pierre Street) in Pierre.
State Veterans Affairs Secretary Jeremiah Schneider says the gathering is part of the Department’s “What’s Brewing” program— an outreach effort to connect directly with veterans, hear their stories and provide updates on services and benefits available to them. He says the events serve as a platform for meaningful conversations with veterans to better understand the concerns and challenges they are facing.
