The past few weeks, many states across the country have seen spikes in positive COVID-19 cases. South Dakota is one of those states.
Governor Kristi Noem said that it isn’t the critical number they are watching.
The current reports show that 47% of all hospital beds are available as well as 28% of ICU beds.
Noem said earlier infection models were wrong.
According to Noem the focus continues to be protecting the vulnerable.
South Dakota now has over 2600 active cases.
