Rhoden to make tourism announcement at Mount Rushmore

Governor Larry Rhoden will make an announcement regarding South Dakota’s tourism industry during a press conference this morning (May 4, 2026) at Mount Rushmore.

Rhoden will be joined by Travel South Dakota Secretary Jim Hagen, Mount Rushmore National Memorial Superintendent Jennifer Carpenter, and representatives from the National Parks Service.

The press conference will take place at 10 am MT/11 am CT.
