Funeral Service for June Bird Horse age 54 of Wakpala, SD will be at 11 AM, CT on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Oster Funeral Home Chapel in Mobridge, SD. Father Kim Fonder will be officiating. Burial will be at the Reginal Bird Horse Family Cemetery Wakpala, SD under direction of Oster Funeral Home of Mobridge, SD. There will be Prayer Service at 7 PM, CT on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at the Oster Funeral Home Chapel, Viewing will start at 5:00 PM, CT on Sunday, January 24, 20201 till start of Services. June entered the Spirit World on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Mobridge Regional Hospital in Mobridge, SD. Oster Funeral Home is entrusted with Services for June Bird Horse.
June Alyce Bird Horse was born on January 28, 1966 to Reginald Sr. and Gladys (Oka) Bird Horse in Fort Yates, ND. She grew up in Wakpala, attended school there, then she left for Minneapolis 1985. Her nickname given by her father was Nupa, she was always wanting two of everything, so how she got her nickname. Then met Sebastian Rodriguez Sr. to this union they had their children. In 1995 is relocated back in Wakpala for the remainder of her life. June hobbies were listening to music, joking around, beading and her going to house to house visiting. She always traveling and enjoyed hanging with her good friend late Howard Eagleman now they are together up in heaven.
June is survived by her children Sebrestian Jr., Santana, Fabian, Marie, Teo, Sage, and numerous grandchildren, her siblings Gina, Rosie, Coleen, Marilyn, Anna and Reginald Jr., aunts Belva Grey Horn, Roberta Yellow, all her cousins.
Proceeded in death by her parents, sisters Isabelle, Kaye and Valerie, maternal grandparents Robert and Alyce Bird Horse, Matthew and Laura Oka, numerous uncles and aunts.
Casket bearers D’aun DeMarrias, Duane Little Eagle, Phillips Bird Horse Sr., Walter “TJ” Jordan, Andrew Brave, Jaren Mellette, Bill Three Legs, Gino Perez, Sebastian Rodriguez.
