SIOUX FALLS – Jaden Flor scored in the last minute of the second period Sunday to break a tie and the Oahe Capitals earned their 11th win in 12 games this season with a 3-1 win over Sioux Falls Flyers 1 at Furniture Mart Arena.
Raef Briggs had tied the game 4:19 into the second period after Sioux Falls 1 had scored first nearly three minutes earlier. A Keenan Howard powerplay goal with 3:17 left in the third period gave the Capitals (11-0-0-1) their final margin. Elliot Leif scored two assists. Carter Schulz made 28 saves.
Oahe will return home for three games next weekend at the Expo Center in Fort Pierre. The Capitals will host Aberdeen at 8:00 PM on Friday and Sioux Center at 7:00 PM Saturday and noon Sunday.
