Christum Jaymes Niyake Yuza Harrison was born December 29, 1998 to Gwendolyn Taken Alive and Shawn Harrison. To this union came three children. Christum-Jaymes was the youngest. Saxon-Leigh was his sister and Chance-Christopher was his brother. Later on Dae’Sol was born. Christum Jaymes loved his siblings and they loved him. He had the sweetest smile as a baby.
His mother since birth took care of him and raised him. She gave him the best life she could ever give him. Ever since he was little he slept with his mother and his tiny bear and pink bunny until he got a little older than he wanted to be around his older sister more. Whatever he wanted he always got no one ever told him no. He was and always will be his mother’s baby boy.
Christum Jaymes had a kind, loving heart. He would help when needed, he loved work. He enjoyed playing with his nieces and nephews, he loved them very much. Kai’Lana was the first to make him an uncle, then came A’keivah. Josiah was his first nephew. Warren was his second nephew followed by Chastan who was born shortly after. Lily and William were the youngest niece and nephew.
Christum was loved and known by many, but he also enjoyed his time alone to play XBox. He would play for hours at a time, stop for snack breaks then get right back to his game. He also would write as a way to express himself, go for walks, or ride his longboard.
He had plans for himself, he was waiting to go to Job Corps in Box Elder, SD. He would say, “Covid is what’s holding me back from going.” He also wanted to travel the world. He talked about how he wanted to help others. The person behind him, to do well, was his Unci Delores Taken Alive. He loved his Unci dearly. Christum was living with her and his niece Kai’Lana at the time of her passing on August 29, 2020. He took her passing very hard, but kept a smile like he wasn’t hurt. He kept himself busy with writing and going on walks.
Christum felt alone, but he wasn’t. He had his big sister Saxon, his two brothers Chance and Dae’Sol. He went to live with his big sister and she was like a second mother to him. He even introduced his girlfriend, Thomasine to his sister. He would remind his young nieces and nephews when they did something wrong. He would also tell them to “talk instead of commanding” that’s what Unci would always say. He always tried to go by what he was taught. He would also give his siblings some off the wall quote or question to make them think about things. Their love for one another was unconditional.
Christum will be missed greatly especially by him mother Gwendolyn, his big sister Saxon-Leigh and brothers Chance Christopher, his nieces, Kai’Lana, Rae”Lee, A’Keivah, and Lily, nephews Josiah, Warren, Chastan, William. He loved them like he loved Tabasco on his pizza.
