Richie loved life to the fullest, he was humble, kind, and had the sense of humor we all hoped for. He enjoyed golfing, poker, watching his favorite sport teams (esp. Vikings), loved listening to music and visiting with his friends and family. Richie had the biggest heart and one of the biggest smiles. He would always greet you with that smile and a big hug. We all enjoyed his company and listening to his stories and especially we all just loved him dearly. Richie touched many hearts and will never be forgotten.
He held a special place in his heart for his grandmother, Doris Soiseth. He also was proud to call Red and Reva Gates his (other) parents.
