EAGAN, MN – NFL Network Insider Ian Rappoport reports that Vikings’ defensive end Danielle Hunter and the team have agreed to terms on a reworked contract, allowing him to take part in the team’s mandatory minicamp this week.
Sources told Rappoport that Hunter will receive $5.6 million of what he is owed this season as a signing bonus. Then, on the fifth day of the 2022 league season, Hunter would be due a new $18 million roster bonus. At that time, the Vikings would decide whether to keep him at $20 million, sign him to a new deal or release him to save money.
Hunter missed all of last season with a neck injury. He had 14 and a half sacks in both the 2018 and 2019 seasons, making the Pro Bowl each year.
