Angela Dawn Bears Heart was born November 5, 1978. She was 2 weeks old when she was given to the Late Reverend Wilbur Bears Heart Sr. and Julia (Four Bear) Bears Heart. She was legally adopted into the Bears Heart family in March of 1979.
She spent her early years in Rural Wakpala also known as Snake Creek. This is where her love for horses began, her first ride was when she was only 6 months old. She loved the country life, riding her favorite horses Samson and Washoe, chasing butterflies and helping with hauling hay bales for the cattle.
Angela will always be remembered for her contagious laugh and smile. She was always making jokes and trying to make light of situations. She was generous and willing to lend an ear and words of encouragement to her friends and family. Her hobbies included riding horses, drawing, painting, beading, basketball, collecting horses, collecting My Little Ponies, angel figurines and most recently, ghost hunting. She loved listening to music and dancing. She had a passion for ghost hunting and listening to Art Bell shows on the radio, she acquired this hobby from her big brother Wilbur, whom she was very close to. While she was growing up they would stay up late at night listening to the Art Bell show. She recently did a show on the radio as Mrs. Claus with her close friend David Vowell, who she considered as another father figure in her life.
Angela graduated from Wakpala in the spring of 1997 and off to college at Northern State University she went. While at NSU she dabbled a little in being a radio show host for the college. She later graduated from NSU with her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a minor in Criminal Justice. After she graduated, she made her home in Mobridge. She also completed online requirements to become a private investigator while working full time at the casino. She was very proud of completing this accomplishment.
In 2003 she started working at Grand River Casino and stayed there until her health required her to resign from the casino. While working at the casino as a floor supervisor, she met her husband Josh and became a biker chick. She loved riding her Harley Davidson motorcycles with him, she would later marry Josh at the 75th Annual Sturgis Rally in the summer of 2015.
