FORT PIERRE – Carter Sanderson scored four goals and an assist Sunday as the Oahe Capital boys broke their two-game losing streak with a 7-0 win over Mitchell at the Expo Center.
Sanderson, who scored his goals on just five shots, now has 20 goals in 11 games this season, which leads SDAHA boys play. Dre Berndt, Keenan Howard and Jonathon Lyons also scored for the Capitals (8-3). Ashton Griese had four assists. Carter Schulz made 17 saves for his seventh career shutout.
The Capitals will host the Rushmore Thunder in Fort Pierre on Saturday, January 22.
