Coyote Men Fall To KC; Women Drop Roos

KANSAS CITY – The four-game winning streak for South Dakota Men’s Basketball ended Thursday with a 72-63 loss to Kansas City at the Swinney Center.

Tasos Kamateros scored 15 for the Coyotes (17-11, 10-7), who will be the fifth seed in the upcoming Summit League men’s postseason tournament.

VERMILLION – South Dakota Women’s Basketball eased past Kansas City 71-49 Thursday at the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

Hannah Sjerven scored 22 points, the fourth time in the last six games that she has scored at least 20.  Sully Buttes alum Chloe Lamb scored 18.  Liv Korngable scored 10 and surpassed 1,000 points for her career.  USD (22-5, 15-1) remained a half-game behind Summit League leader SDSU.
