According to AAA, the national gas price average is $2.79, an eight-cent increase since the beginning of July. Gas prices have increased amid more expensive crude oil prices, robust demand and decreasing gasoline stocks.
South Dakota’s average price is $2.727. That’s up four cents from last week, the same as last month and 16 cents lower than last year.
The nation’s least expensive markets are: Mississippi ($2.40), Alabama ($2.42), Louisiana and Arkansas ($2.43).
