Weather permitting, Missouri Avenue in Pierre between Ree and Brule Streets will close to through traffic tomorrow (June 16).
The closure will allow the City to rebuild and repair that segment of street. It’s expected to reopen by June 26. Local access will be maintained throughout the project. Through traffic is encouraged to use an alternate route.
Pierre maintains 80 miles of streets. Each year, City staff assess the streets, utilities, sidewalks and curbs to prioritize street maintenance and reconstruction projects.
