EAGAN, MN – It appears that South Dakotan Riley Reiff is staying with the Minnesota Vikings after all.
Various reports said that Reiff and the Vikings agreed on a deal Tuesday to restructure his contract. Reiff, a Parkston native and the Vikings’ starting offensive left tackle, had been informed that he would be released if he did not accept a pay cut and that Tuesday was the deadline for him to make his decision. Reiff had been set to make just under $11 million this season, the fourth of a five-year, $58.75 million contract he signed as a free agent in 2017.
This season will be then 10th for Reiff in the NFL. The first six were with the Detroit Lions. Reiff has served as a captain for the last three seasons for the Vikings.
