Today’s (Dec. 7, 2020) update from the state Department of Health shows 447 new confirmed cases and 62 new probable cases of coronavirus in the state since yesterday.

Coronavirus patients currently occupy 18.1% of the staffed hospital beds in the state. Other patients are using 41.8% of the staffed beds leaving 40% available. Of the staffed intensive care unit beds in the state, COVID-19 patients are using 43.2%, other patients occupy 28.2% and 28.6% are available to be used.

A confirmed case of COVID-19 is defined as persons with a positive RT-PCR test. A probable case is defined as persons with a positive antigen test for the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19.
