FARGO, ND – South Dakota State blanked Kansas City 7-0 Friday at Tharaldson Park to advance to Saturday’s Summit League Softball Championship game against Omaha.
Grace Glanzer scattered eight hits in a shutout for the Jacks. Jocelyn Carrilo homered twice to improve to six-for-nine with three home runs and six RBI in SDSU’s three games in the tournament.
To win the Summit League postseason title and earn the conference’s automatic NCAA Tournament berth, South Dakota State must defeat Omaha twice on Saturday. Action will begin at 1:00 PM.
