CHICAGO – Former Aberdeen Central soccer standout Megan Fastenau has been named as the Gatorade South Dakota Girls Soccer Player of the Year for 2020-21.
As a senior, Fastenau led the Golden Eagles to a 12-1-1 record and a AA quarterfinal berth with 16 goals and seven assists. She was a two-time first-team All-State selection and all-ESD three times. Fastenau ended her career with 36 goals and 22 assists.
In the fall, Fastenau will attend Northern State University.
