Jewett Leaves SDSU Women’s Hoops Coaching Staff To Become Brookings High AD

BROOKINGS – South Dakota State women’s basketball associate head coach Mike Jewett is leaving that position to become the new athletic director at Brookings High School.

Jewett has been on Aaron Johnston’s staff for nine seasons, helping the Jacks dominate the Summit League and make the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 in 2019.

Jewett also has served two different stints as Dave Krauth’s assistant at Augustana, been the girls head coach at Brandon Valley, and a collegiate head coach at Franklin State and Southwest Minnesota State.

Jewett is the third assistant coach to leave the SDSU program this offseason. Kristen Rotert was named as the head coach at Northwestern College and named fellow assistant coach Macy Miller to her staff.
