ST. PAUL, MN – After the 2021 NHL Winter Classic was not played because the regular season had not yet begun, the league has rescheduled the game between the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues for New Year’s Day 2022 at Target Field in Minneapolis.
Capacity for the game is expected to be around 40,000 fans.
The WIld have hosted one outdoor game in franchise history, a 6-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on February 21, 2016 at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, the home stadium of University of Minnesota football.
