Christensen Leads SD Golfers At National High School Invitational

PINEHURST, NC – Lance Christensen, a 2021 Little Wound graduate, tied for 45th at the High School Golf National Invitational, which concluded Wednesday at Pinehurst Resort.

Christensen, who will play collegiately at New Mexico State, shot 231 over 54 holes, tying for 45th.

Seven other South Dakota golfers competed in the event, including class A champion Micah Dohrer of Aberdeen Roncalli and AA runner-up Kaden Rylance of Watertown.   Dohrer shot 248 while Rylance carded 245.

Five golfers from Sioux Falls Christian were entered.  Eli Anema shot 272, Brendon VanBeek and Brodie VanDenBrink each fired 275 and Andrew Dykstra shot 276.  Kaleb Jost did not finish after withdrawing on Tuesday.
