BROOKINGS – South Dakota State men’s basketball head coach Eric Henderson has been given a two-year contract extension, good through 2025-26.
Henderson is 38-17 in two seasons as the Jackrabbits’ head coach. In 2020-21, SDSU was 16-7 overall and 9-3 in the Summit League to win the conference regular-season title. In the conference tournament, the Jackrabbits lost in the semifinals to Oral Roberts, who proceeded to advance to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament.
In 2019-20, South Dakota State was 22-10 and won a share of the Summit League title.
Henderson signed a five-year contract when he took over before that season for T.J. Otzleberger, who left to become head coach at Iowa State.
