BROOKINGS – South Dakota State golf standout Teresa Toscano has been named as one of two nominees from the Summit League for the 2021 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
Toscano, one of 535 original school nominees, is one of 153 conference-level nominees.
Last season, Toscano won the Summit League individual title and was the conference’s Women’s Golfer of the Year. She did not have the chance to compete in the NCAA Regionals after the course at which the event was scheduled was deemed unplayable due to persistent rain. Toscano would have been the first SDSU golfer since the program became a Division I program to participate in the NCAA Tournament.
