Four Central South Dakota football players have committed to college programs as announced on the late signing day on Wednesday.
Northern State is adding Mobridge-Pollock defensive back Brady Bauer, Herreid/Selby Area defensive lineman Chance Gregg and Potter County linebacker Cooper Logan.
Headed to Presentation College is North Central wide receiver Ashton Hartling.
Bauer was a three-year starter and two-year team captain for the Tigers and had 26 pass breakups combined in his junior and senior seasons. He was an NEC All-Conference player, was on the 11B Academic All-State team and was selected for the state high school all-star game.
Gregg had 77 tackles, including 15 for losses, and four sacks in 2021, helping lead the Wolverines to the 9A championship game. He was an all-conference and all-state player three straight years.
Logan helped the Battlers make the 9B championship game in 2021 by recording 140 tackles (most in 9B), 17 for losses, four sacks, four forced fumbles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries. He was all-state, team captain and a three-year starter.
Hartling was a two-year starter for the Thunder. In those seasons, he had 77 catches for 700 yards and two touchdowns on offense and also recorded 60 tackles with three interceptions as a safety.
Also, former Herreid/Selby Area offensive lineman Emmit Bohle has signed to play Division I football at Arizona State. Bohle has played at Northern State the past two seasons.
