BROOKINGS – South Dakota State Men’s Basketball has made Summit League history.
The Jackrabbits became the first team ever in the conference to start 15-0 and wrapped up at least a share of the regular-season conference title Thursday with a 91-66 win over Western Illinois at Frost Arena.
Douglas Wilson led the Jacks with 21 points on eight-of-11 shooting. Charlie Easley hit five three-pointers and scored 19 points. Baylor Scheierman also scored 19.
SDSU (24-4, 15-0) shot 64 percent from the floor and 11-of-20 on three-pointers.
Cleveland State in 1992-93 had the best previous Summit League men’s start at 14-0.

MACOMB, IL – SDSU Women’s Basketball kept a share of the Summit League lead Thursday with an 84-54 drubbing of Western Illinois at Western Hall.
Myah Selland scored 20 to lead the Jackrabbits (18-8, 14-1). Tori Nelson scored 16, Paige Meyer had 13 and Tylee Trwin had 10. Selland and Meyer each hit three three-pointers for SDSU, who was 14-of-26 beyond the arc.
